Bangladesh Minority Watch stopped forceful occupation of Hindu lands with Hindu religious places at Pagla-Fatullah PS Narayangonj yesterday on 13.04.15 where a group of Hindu minority families had been forcefully uprooted from their homes in the morning at about 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. BDMW was requested for physical investigation and communicated with S.P. Narayangonj, ASP Fatullah and O.C. Fatullah, visited spot and inquired about perpetrators responsible for forceful occupation of Hindu properties. More than 200 unruly mob equipped with weapons forcefully entered into the dwelling house of Akhil Chandra Karmakar, Ms. Gita Rani Karmakar, ousted them showing revolver, dao, kirish etc. and occupied the houses, desecrated Hindu religious places and erected fencing without any lawful authority during pending of a criminal case No.146/15 under section 145 of Cr.P.C.filed by Hindu victim against Shamiul Hoque Shamim and others.

Thereafter police came at the spot but found very much slow to accord help to Hindu victims. A case No.35 dated dated 13.04.15 registered against 5 persons and unknown 40 to 50 perpetrators responsible for grabbing lands. We could recover the lands but continuous threats upon those Hindu victims coedntinuing. We demand immediate arrest of the perpetrators responsible for crime. I also communicated with local Member of Parliament Mr.Shamim Osman (Narayangon-4) over his mobile and he informed BDMW that there is no repression or land grabbing incidents against minority communities in Narayangonj Area.
